IMPHAL, April 26 (NNN): Manipur police have arrested two active cadres of different rebel outfits in separate operations in the last two days, police said on Tuesday.
One of the arrested active cadres belonged to RPF/PLA and an air gun pistol loaded with a live round was recovered from his possession.
He was arrested during a counter insurgency operation launched by a team of Imphal West district police commandos in Patsoi area on Tuesday, the police source said.

The arrested active cadre was identified as Laishram Kiran of Mongjam Mamang Leikai of Imphal East district.
He was arrested from a rented house located at Patsoi during the operation. The arrested cadre along with the seized items was handed over to Patsoi police station, the police source added.
The Imphal West district police commandos also arrested an active cadre of the UNLF outfit from his house on the previous day (Monday).
The arrested cadre was identified as Oinam Shanjoy Kumar (44 ) of Kongpal Chingangbam Leikai, Imphal East district.
The police accused him of being involved actively in demanding and extorting money from the general public and to various government officials, in and around valley areas.
One Honda Activa was also seized from him. The arrested person and the seized articles were handed over to Porompat police station of Imphal East district, the police source also said.
