Angel Priya Saikia In Assam Book Of Records

DEMOW, May 1: Eight-year-old girl from Sivasagar Angel Priya Saikia has registered her name in the Assam Book of Records by winning eight Gold medals in Taekwondo, three in Poomsae (Blocking and Punching Movements) and five in Kyorugi (fighting).

Daughter of Partha Saikia and Madhusmita Phukan Saikia and a resident of Amguri in Sivasagar district, she is a student of Class 3 at Don Bosco High School, Amguri.

Angel Priya Saikia was four years old when she won her first Gold medal (State Level). Being a black belt holder in Taekwondo, she has also won the best fighter prize in two events. For her efforts, Angel Priya Saikia became the first girl in Assam to win so many Gold medals at such a young age.

Moreover, the Assam Book of Records honoured her with a State Record certificate. The Brihattar Asomiya Yuba Mancha (BAYM), Demow Town Committee congratulated Angel Priya Saikia and wished her all success in her future.
