Assam women’s team shine in the 36th National Games

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Oct 6: Assam State Women’s Football team (with 7 players from Assam Rifles) is participating in the 36th National Games 2022 being played at Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The second match of the national events was played between Assam and Odisha at Shahbagh, Ahmedabad, Gujarat on October 4. The match ended with scores drawn at 0-0. Assam is placed in Group B, where they will play against Maharashtra on 06 October. The team won their first match against Gujrat with a score of 4-2 that was held on Oct 2. Assam State Womens Team was trained at Lokra during the practice camp held from 20-26 Sep this year, stated a press release issued by the headquarter IGAE (E), Assam Rifles.
