DIPHU, Sept 9: Karbi Anglong team has reached the semi-final rounds of the 70th Senior Inter – District Football Championship for Khirud Baruah Memorial Trophy, as they defeated Chirang in the quarter final match played at Baksa on Friday.
The first goal for Karbi Anglong was scored by Jonasing Teron in the 16th minute of first half through an assist by Zamno Thomte, while Kirot Tisso scored in the 43rd minute through an assist by Tenson Tisso.
In the second half Karbi Anglong added three more goals. Deuri Kro scored in the 67th minute through an assist by Kirot Tisso, while Kirot Tisso scored again in the 70th minute through an assist by Deuri Kro and Harbamon Timung scored in the 74th minute through an assist by Deuri Kro. The final score was 1-5 by Karbi Anglong.
Karbi Anglong team manager, Horen Engti Kathar informed that his team will face Nazira district in the semi-final on September 11 at Baksa.
