Nuruddin Senior Cricket: Golaghat in the driver’s seat

GOLAGHAT, May 22: Golaghat Sports Association took a 30-run lead against Titabor in the first innings of the Group B match played at the Kshirod Barua Stadium, Morigaon on Monday. Golaghat batted first and scored 97 runs in 25-1 overs with contributions of Dipu Gogoi’s 26 runs and Lakshya Bora’s 20 runs. Rishabh Handique took six wickets and Munty Hazarika took three wickets for Tittabor. In reply, Titabor Sports Association were all out for 67 runs in their first innings in 29-5 overs. Munty Hazarika contributed 17 runs and Arnas Saikia 13 runs for Titabor while Dipu Gogoi took five wickets and Sunny Parashar took four wickets for Golaghat. In the second innings, Golaghat scored 2 runs for the loss of 1 wicket as the day ended. The match was conducted by Assam Cricket Association panel umpires Asim Bhawal and Gopikant Sinha.
