DIPHU, April 6: Pokhila Engtipi of Rongchedon has been awarded with the Best Sports Achiever Award by American University for Global Peace, USA and International Forum for Anti-Corruption in a function held at Constitutional Club of India, Rafi Marg, New Delhi on April 6.
The award is in recognition of her outstanding achievement in athletics. She also received another award from American University for Global Peace, USA for her contribution in establishing global peace and contribution towards the global society and global family and to build up ‘Peace loving, peace living, peace practicing.’
The awards were given by Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India Dr. Ramdas Athawale in presence of founder and chairman of American University for Global Peace USA, Prof. Dr. Madhu Khrishan.
Engtipi had participated in the Masters Games from 2018 in both national and international levels. She is working as Forester – I under the East Division of Forest department, Karbi Anglong. With her were other awardees who received the awards.
