Three Wushu Players Bring Laurels For Sivasagar District

DEMOW, April 5: The 21th National Sub-Junior Boys-Girls National Wushu championship was held in Tamil Nadu Nur Islam University from March 25 to March 31 where three Wushu Players of Sivasagar district won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and brought laurels for Sivasagar district as well as for Assam.

Abhijit Buragohain won Gold medal in the 56 kg boy’s category, Munna Mili wins Bronze medal in 60 kg boy’s category and Tulika Chetia won Silver medal in 36 kg girl’s category in National Wushu championship.

The three Wushu players were accorded warm welcome in Demow of Sivasagar District on Tuesday by the local people and felicitated three wushu players with phulam gamosa.

The Sivasagar District Wushu Sports Association had also given warm welcome to three Wushu Players in Demow and also organized a felicitation programme at Demow Jyoti Bishnu Building on Tuesday.
