DIPHU, Aug 8: In the All Assam Inter-District Deadlift Championship, 2022 Men and Women Senior, Junior, Sub-junior and Masters played on August 5 and 6 at Sivasagar, the Karbi Anglong team has clinched medals in both men and women categories. The competition was organised by All Assam Power Lifting Association. There were seven districts participating in the competition.
From Karbi Anglong 15 players have participated in the event.
In women’s category Tamhidi Rongpipi and Joshmi Beypi in senior event have bagged gold medals respectively, while Linda Sitlhou in senior and junior events have clinched two gold medals, Gangotri Borah in senior and junior events also bagged silver medal. Neha Bordoloi in the sub-junior event bagged the silver medal and Basapi Phangchopi in the Master event bagged the gold medal.
In men’s category Mukti Shyam in senior event bagged gold medal, Suman Chetri in sub-junior event bagged two gold medals, Driwinson Ronghang in senior event bagged silver medal, Bhagyo Basumatary and Surja Hanse in senior event bagged bronze medals and Rahul Teron in junior event bagged bronze medal.
The national level competition will be held at Chennai in September next month.
