National Junior Girls Football Championship: Assam girl’s team win

DIPHU, Aug 1: The Assam girl’s team has won their match against Telengana in the National Junior Girls Football Championship played at Belgaum, Karnataka, on Thursday. Assam girls won the match by 3-2.

The Telengana girls opened the account and in the 35th minute Arti Munda equalised for Assam. The Telegana girls again scored in the 45+2 minutes. At first half Telegana were leading by 2-1.

In the second half Arti Munda again equalised the score in the 55th minute making it 2-2. The winning goal was scored by Arti Munda again. Finally, the match was won by Assam by 3-2. In Thursday’s match, Arti Munda scored a hattrick. Serbirika Terangpi is the captain of Assam team. Next match for Assam is on August 3 against Punjab.
