TEZPUR, July 4: A tragic incident unfolded in Bhojkhowa Gaon near Tezpur on Monday, causing panic among the local residents. Mantaz Ali, a 65-year-old farmer, met a tragic end when he was attacked by a wild buffalo while grazing his cows near his paddy fields in the morning. The sudden and shocking attack resulted in his death.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police promptly arrived at the scene and transferred Mantaz Ali’s body to Kanaklata Civil Hospital for a necessary autopsy. The local community has expressed their concerns and called for proper compensation to be provided to the farmer’s grieving family. They have also highlighted the need for enhanced safety measures in the area, considering its proximity to the Bhomoraguri Reserved Forest.
