MARGHERITA, Dec 8: The Draft Integrated and Amalgamated Photo Electoral Roll for the year 2024 in respect of 83-Margherita Legislative Assembly Constituency (LAC) under Margherita Election District has been published on Friday. Preeti Kumari IAS, district election officer, Margherita, unveiled the draft in the presence of representatives from various recognized political parties and other officials.
The total number of electors in the draft Photo Electoral Roll 2024 for 83-Margherita LAC is 1,67,794, including 83,726 males, 84,067 females, and 1 transgender individual. This marks the first summary revision of the electoral roll after the delimitation of constituencies in Assam.

According to the revised schedule of the Special Summary Revision (SSR) of the Electoral Rolls with a qualifying date of January 1, 2024 for the state of Assam, the period for filing claims and objections by electors will be from December 8, 2023 to January 8, 2024.
The electoral rolls will be available for inspection in the office of the electoral registration officer Margherita, assistant electoral registration officers, circle officer, Margherita, booth-level officers, etc. Electors can also search for their names and obtain other electoral details on the website www.nvsp.in, Voter Helpline App (VHA), ERONET, CEO Assam website, etc. Alternatively, they may contact their respective booth level officers (BLOs) for detailed information.
As part of the Summary Revision, extensive awareness programs under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) will be carried out. Five special campaign dates on December 9, 2023; December 10, 2023; December 16, 2023; December 17, 2023, and December 23, 2023 have been announced by the chief electoral fficer, Assam. BLOs will be available at their polling booths for accepting claims and objections during the said dates.
After proper scrutiny and disposal of claims and objections as per ECI guidelines, the final Electoral Roll will be published on February 8, 2024.
