Addressing a press conference, senior Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) spokesperson, Ningombam Bhupenda said that the brainstorming session has also passed a ten-point resolution. Among others, the resolution included re-strengthening the party by setting up mandal Congress committees and organising a 75 km walk by Congress members at district committee level starting from August 9 as a part of India’s Independence Day celebration on August 15.

Another resolution was to fill up vacant posts of the district and mandal level committees of the party on or before November 15 and to constitute district level political affairs committees.

Another resolution was to launch nationwide protests to register strong protest against increasing unemployment in the country and against the rising prices of essential commodities, the spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, the programme was organised in line with a similar session under ‘Nav Sankalp’ organised by the AICC at Udaipur in Rajasthan recently where many Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were present, he said.
