Assam CM visits Changsari in view of Rs 4,000 cr investment in 500 Govt schools

GUWAHATI, June 27: 1. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday took to social media platform X to unveil a significant investment plan focused on revamping the educational infrastructure in the state.

Sarma has personally visited and scrutinized one of the proposed school sites located in Assam’s Changsari.

Sarma is pleased to share the initiative taken by the state government to allocate over Rs 4,000 crore towards the construction of 500 state-of-the-art government schools across Assam.

“We are investing over Rs 4,000 crore to build 500 state-of-the-art government schools in Assam,” stated Chief Minister in his post on X.

Cabinet Minister for Higher Education Ranoj Pegu also accompanied Sarma in the inspection.

Pegu has also took to micro blogging site X to announce that Changsari Higher Secondary School will be an Assamese medium school under SEBA and Changsari Model School will be an English medium school under CBSE.

Pegu wrote, “On his way to Nalbari to attend the Assam Cabinet meeting, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the construction of new buildings of Changsari Higher Secondary School and Changsari Adarsha Vidyalaya in Kamrup district.”

“At this juncture, I am happy to join the Hon’ble Prime Minister. It is to be noted that Changsari Higher Secondary School will be an Assamese medium school under SEBA and Changsari Model School will be an English medium school under CBSE”, he added.
