SIVASAGAR, Dec 6: The Mahaparinirvan Divas, the death anniversary of Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, was observed solemnly by Alok Sangha at Nikunjalata Chaliha Anganwadi Kendra here. Jyoti Dutta presided over the meeting, while Pranjal Rajguru, the secretary of Alok Sangha, and Sachindralal Barua spoke on the life and works of Dr Ambedkar.
In the same meeting, the birth anniversary of litterateur and journalist Homen Borgohain was also observed. Writer Samsul Barik delivered an illuminating lecture on Homen Borgohain’s illustrious career as a writer and journalist.
