BISWANATH CHARIALI, March 27: A case of theft took place at the Shiva temple located at Malor Gaon under Sootea PS on Wednesday night.
Reportedly, the thief entered into the temple premises breaking the lock of the entrance and stole the valuables including cash, brass metals, bells (ghanta) besides other utensils.

The local residents spotted the incident on Thursday morning and immediately informed the Sootea police.
Later on, a team of Sootea police reached the site and started their investigation.
It is pertinent to mention here that cases of theft are on the rise in and out of the greater Sootea area.
The namghars and the temples of the greater area are facing the challenges of theft at present.
The conscious people have urged the concerned authorities to act on the issue as early as possible.
