NFR revises timings of 23 trains across network to improve punctuality

Revised schedules to be rolled out in phases from June 29 to July 5 for better train operations across Northeast

GUWAHATI, June 28: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced a revision in the timings of 23 trains at selected stations across its network as part of its efforts to enhance punctuality and improve overall passenger convenience.

According to an official statement, the revised schedules will be implemented in phases beginning June 29 and will continue until July 5, 2025.

The changes will come into effect for two trains from June 29.

Train No 13173 (Sealdah–Sabroom) Kanchenjunga Express will follow revised timings at Hojai, Lanka, Lumding, and New Haflong stations.

Train No 12515 (Coimbatore Junction–Silchar) Express will also run as per the new schedule at Hojai, Lumding, Maibang, and New Haflong stations.

From June 30, revised timings will apply to five trains.

These include Train No 12424 (New Delhi–Dibrugarh) Rajdhani Express at Guwahati and Chaparmukh stations and its return service Train No 12423 (Dibrugarh–New Delhi) at Guwahati and Rangiya.

Train No 13181 (Kolkata–Silghat Town) Kaziranga Express will follow updated timings at New Coochbehar, New Alipurduar, and Fakiragram stations.

Train No 13175 (Sealdah–Silchar) Kanchenjunga Express and Train No 15625 (Deoghar–Agartala) Express will also follow new timings at multiple stations including Lumding, Chaparmukh, and New Haflong.

On July 1, Train No 13182 (Silghat Town–Kolkata) Kaziranga Express will operate as per revised timings at New Coochbehar, while Train No 12507 (Thiruvananthapuram Central–Silchar) Express will follow new timings at Hojai, Lumding, Maibang, and New Haflong.

A larger set of changes will take effect from July 3, involving seven trains.

Train No 12345 (Howrah–Guwahati) Saraighat Express will have revised timings at Kamakhya and Guwahati. Train No 13063 (Howrah–Balurghat) Express, Train No 15464 (Siliguri Junction–Balurghat) Express, and Train No 13147 (Sealdah–Bamanhat) Express will see changes at multiple stations including Malda Town, New Jalpaiguri, and Bamanhat.

Train No 13149 (Sealdah–Alipurduar Junction) Kanchan Kanya Express and Train No 13431/13432 (Nabadwip Dham–Balurghat–Nabadwip Dham) Express will also follow revised schedules at selected stations.

From July 4, four more trains will run as per new timings.

Train No 12346 (Guwahati–Howrah) Saraighat Express will follow the revised schedule at Guwahati, Kamakhya, New Bongaigaon, and Malda Town.

Train No 75723 (New Bongaigaon–Guwahati) DEMU, Train No 13246 (Rajendra Nagar–New Jalpaiguri) Capital Express, and Train No 13150 (Alipurduar Junction–Sealdah) Kanchan Kanya Express will also follow updated timings at various stations including Katihar Junction, Siliguri Junction, and New Jalpaiguri.

The final set of changes will take effect on July 5.

Train No 15626 (Agartala–Deoghar) Express will have revised timings at Chaparmukh.

Train No 13245 (New Jalpaiguri–Rajendra Nagar) Capital Express and Train No 75707 (Radhikapur–Siliguri Junction) DEMU will also operate as per revised timings at New Jalpaiguri and Radhikapur respectively.

The NFR stated that these schedule changes are part of broader infrastructure improvements that have enhanced train speeds and operational efficiency, ensuring a faster, safer, and more punctual travel experience.

Passengers are advised to check the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) for real-time updates on train running status and schedules before commencing their journey.
