Accompanied by Director-cum-Member Secretary C D Mungyak and Curator, Dr Vivek Kumar, the Chairman reviewed various key attractions at the Centre, including the Dino Park, Science Fun Gallery, Mirror Gallery, and the Emerging Technologies Gallery.

He underlined the need for regular maintenance and upgradation of facilities to keep the Centre engaging and relevant, especially for students and the general public.

In an official statement, it was informed that Er Taki emphasised the urgent need to elevate the Arunachal Pradesh Science Centre to Category I status.

Such a move, he said, would bring the Centre’s infrastructure and educational offerings on par with national benchmarks, enabling it to more effectively serve as a catalyst for curiosity and scientific engagement.

Er Taki acknowledged the Planetarium’s immersive potential to significantly deepen scientific understanding among students and said it could play a key role in fostering scientific temper from an early age.

The day’s visit concluded with a focused discussion session involving officials and staff of the Science Centre.

According to the official statement, the meeting concentrated on ways to strengthen science popularisation efforts and the promotion of innovation-driven entrepreneurial ventures across the state.

Er Taki stressed the value of automation and emerging technologies in delivering impactful solutions to the people, particularly those residing in remote areas.

He also drew attention to the importance of channeling innovation into high-priority sectors such as sustainable product development, crop productivity, and water supply management.

These, he said, are critical areas where targeted interventions in science and technology can drive regional development and contribute meaningfully to building a self-reliant Arunachal Pradesh.

Reiterating the broader vision behind the visit, the Chairman said fostering a scientific mindset among youth remains central to the state’s development goals.

He urged educators, researchers, and government institutions to work together to inspire a new generation of problem-solvers, innovators, and entrepreneurs who can lead Arunachal Pradesh into a future shaped by knowledge and resilience.
