PASIGHAT, July 3: The Udyami Panjikaran Mela, organised by the Block Mission Management Unit of Ruksin under the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM), concluded successfully at the Ruksin Multipurpose Auditorium Hall.
According to an official statement, the event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of over 200 attendees, including self-help group (SHG) members and local community leaders.
The mela was aimed at encouraging SHG members to register their products and enhance their participation in grassroots entrepreneurship.
Chief Guest Nanang Borang, Circle Officer of Ruksin, inaugurated the programme in the presence of several dignitaries, including ZPM Ruksin Anung Gammeng, Agriculture Development Officer Topu Nyodu, Director of RSETI Pasighat Miton Sutradhar, as well as GPCs and Gaon Buras.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries expressed their appreciation for the large turnout and lauded the efforts of SHG members, especially women entrepreneurs, for showcasing their drive towards financial independence.
The event served as a platform to motivate SHG-based enterprises to explore formal avenues of business registration and sustainability.
A total of 130 offline product registrations were collected during the mela, reflecting strong engagement from the participating SHGs.
Although product sales were not mandatory, many SHG members brought along items for display and sale, resulting in earnings of approximately ₹35,000.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms Miti Paron, an active SHG member, who expressed gratitude on behalf of the participants and organisers.
The dignitaries praised ArSRLM’s role in promoting entrepreneurship and creating economic opportunities for women at the grassroots level.
The successful conduct of the Udyami Panjikaran Mela reinforced the commitment of ArSRLM and local administrative units in fostering inclusive development through SHG-led enterprises and community empowerment.
