The funds were disbursed on Saturday through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) following a national release by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a live webcast from Varanasi.

As part of the release, the Prime Minister transferred over ₹20,500 crore to the bank accounts of nearly 9.8 crore farmers across the country.

Dhubri district emerged among the key beneficiaries in Assam, with district authorities ensuring a smooth, transparent, and timely distribution process.

A district-level programme was held at the Office of the District Agriculture Officer, Dhubri, where local farmers and agriculture officials gathered to witness the Prime Minister’s address and take part in the official observance.

The event marked a moment of gratitude and optimism, with the installment arriving at a critical juncture for farmers preparing for the upcoming crop season.

The Agriculture Department, under the supervision of the District Agriculture Officer, conducted outreach initiatives across agriculture circles, block offices, and Gaon Panchayat centres to facilitate inclusive participation.

With the support of Agricultural Development Officers (ADOs) and Agriculture Extension Assistants (AEAs), live screenings of the webcast were organised, alongside discussions on scheme implementation and planning for future agricultural activities.

Key officials present at the district event included Azim Ahmed, District Agriculture Officer; Mrinal Kanti Kachari, Assistant Director of Agriculture; Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officers Salahur Rahman and Khandakar Shahidul Alam; and Senior ADO Dipankar Choudhury.

Their coordinated efforts were instrumental in executing the programme across the district’s rural and semi-urban areas.

The PM-KISAN scheme has consistently served as a lifeline for the farming community in Dhubri, with each installment offering measurable support to reduce financial stress and boost agricultural productivity.

The successful implementation of the 20th installment further underscores the district’s commitment to rural development and effective delivery of centrally sponsored welfare initiatives.
