186 BN CRPF concludes Ganesh Chaturthi with visarjan ceremony at Namsai

NAMSAI, Sept 4: The 186 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) marked the conclusion of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival with the immersion of Lord Ganesha’s idol in a solemn yet vibrant ceremony held on September 3 at Namsai.

The programme, which was observed with devotion and collective spirit, brought together officers, subordinate officers and jawans of the battalion in a strong display of faith and unity.

According to an official statement issued by the battalion, the idol visarjan was conducted with traditional rituals and enthusiastic participation from the personnel, who joined in prayers seeking divine blessings for peace, prosperity and harmony in the unit.

The statement highlighted that the event not only upheld religious traditions but also reinforced the CRPF’s ethos of cultural inclusiveness and communal harmony.

The celebration was led by Commandant DK Singh, with senior officers including Second-in-Command Sandip Sharma, Deputy Commandant KN Haldhar, Deputy Commandant Saurabh Somvanshi and Senior Medical Officer CL Mansa joining the occasion.

Their presence, along with the wholehearted participation of the troops, lent greater significance to the visarjan ceremony.

The official statement further noted that such observances foster a spirit of togetherness and strengthen the bonds among personnel irrespective of cultural or regional backgrounds.
