State BJP President Kaling Moyung formally welcomed Taji into the party fold and expressed confidence that his vast experience in the power sector would contribute to strengthening the organisation. Moyung said Taji’s decision to join the BJP reflected his desire to work for the party and help spread awareness about various central and state-sponsored welfare schemes aimed at the state’s development.

“I welcome Tanya Taji to the BJP and urge him to use his long experience as a technocrat for the party’s growth at the grassroots level,” Moyung said.

Several senior party leaders were present during the induction ceremony.

Born in 1963, Taji graduated from Jorhat Engineering College in Assam and joined NEEPCO as a Sub-Divisional Officer in 1991.
