Sribhumi, 15 Oct : A joint operation by Sribhumi Police and the Border Security Force (BSF) led to the seizure of 22,000 Yaba tablets worth ₹6.6 crore from Sekharbondh area. Acting on intelligence inputs, the teams carried out a swift raid targeting a suspected narcotics hideout.
According to officials, the operation was executed without warning to prevent any possible escape. The team stormed the premises and recovered several packets containing the psychotropic tablets. One individual, identified as a local peddler, was arrested from the spot and taken into custody for interrogation.
The accused is being questioned to identify other members of the network. Police have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and further investigation is underway.
