Under the order, fuel stations across Tinsukia district have been strictly directed not to dispense fuel to two-wheeler users without helmets.

Any violation by fuel depots will attract action against the concerned outlet.

The district administration has also imposed a ban on overloading of dumpers, trucks and other heavy vehicles carrying construction materials such as stones, sand, bricks, soil and coal, citing a rise in serious road accidents linked to such violations.

Further, transportation of soil, sand and similar materials without proper tarpaulin covering has been completely prohibited to prevent spillage and ensure safety of other road users.

The administration expressed hope that the stringent measures would help significantly reduce road accidents and improve overall traffic safety in the district.
