ITANAGAR, Jan 17: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Arunachal Pradesh state unit on Friday celebrated the party’s landslide victory in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections and other civic body polls in Maharashtra.
Speaking to the media outside the BJP state headquarters at Vivek Vihar here, state vice-president Dunggoli Libang described the result as a historic mandate and a strong endorsement of the BJP’s leadership, policies and development-oriented governance.
He said the victory reflected the growing trust of the people in the party’s commitment to transparent administration, efficient urban governance and people-centric development.
Party workers marked the occasion by bursting crackers and distributing sweets, symbolising joy and gratitude for the overwhelming public support.
Libang said the mandate, particularly in the BMC, highlighted public confidence in the BJP’s ability to strengthen grassroots democracy and deliver results at the municipal level.
He added that the success was a testament to the tireless efforts of party karyakartas and the effective implementation of welfare initiatives aimed at inclusive growth and improved quality of life.
The victory, he said, also reinforced the BJP’s vision of cooperative federalism and strong local self-governance.
The BJP Arunachal Pradesh unit extended congratulations to the central and state leadership, party workers and supporters in Maharashtra, reaffirming its resolve to continue working for good governance, development and national progress.
