Tanishtha Bora wins gold at National Taekwondo Championship

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Jan 21: Tanishtha Bora, daughter of Biplab Bora and Rimjhim Bora of Bahuwabari, Sootea, has brought pride to her hometown and Assam by winning a gold medal at the 2nd Federation Cup 2025-26, 3rd Kids Champion of Champions & Open Selection Trials for Taekwondo for the 20th Asian Games.

The championship was held from January 18 to 23 at SMS Stadium in Jaipur, Rajasthan. On Tuesday, Tanishtha showcased exceptional skill and determination, defeating her opponent to clinch the gold medal. Her victory also secures her qualification to represent India at the 20th Asian Games in Taekwondo. Tanishtha’s achievement has been widely appreciated by the local community, highlighting her dedication and talent in the martial art.
