GOALPARA, Jan 30: The Goalpara district administration on Friday declared that the success of the mission ‘Sampoornata Abhiyan’ will be taken as a challenge, pledging to go to extreme lengths to implement schemes under the Aspirational District and Aspirational Block as per guidelines laid down by the NITI Aayog.
The declaration was made during the launching meeting of ‘Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0,’ scheduled to run from January 28 to April 14, at the Natasurya Phani Sarma Bhawan in Goalpara town. The district administration showcased its determination through glimpses of several programs highlighting development schemes in the Aspirational District and Block.

Prodip Timung, Deputy Commissioner of Goalpara, Pranab Bora, Deputy Development Commissioner and other frontline officers were present at the inauguration. An all-women drama performed by local artists drew heartfelt appreciation from the audience. Scheme nodal officer Anupam Das, assistant commissioners Ashish Kalita and Merry Hazarika, Anup Kr Das, IS and health officer Dr Jonbir Das were also present and extended their cooperation. The program was anchored by Parismita Das of Lakhipur.
Goalpara district, along with the Lakhipur development block is included in the Aspirational District category and the mission aims to accelerate progress in health, education, infrastructure and livelihood schemes across the region.
