Nine-year-old girl launches debut poetry collection

GUWAHATI, Feb 1: Nine-year-old literary prodigy Lakshanya Agarwal launched her debut poetry collection, ‘A Book of Poesy for Creative Little Minds’, at Hotel Ornate, B Baruah Road, Guwahati, in a vibrant celebration attended by over 150 literature enthusiasts, educators and supporters of young talent.

The event highlighted the power of youthful creativity and the importance of nurturing artistic expression from an early age. Chief Guest Nilim Kumar, along with Guests of Honour including Advocate Bishaldeep Kakati, Kanchan Kejriwal, Shaswati Sabhapandit and poet Sabah Al Ahmed, lauded Lakshanya’s talent and the growing recognition of young voices in literature.

The programme featured a live interview with Lakshanya, where she charmed the audience with her spontaneous rhymes and shared her message of fostering a deeper connection with nature. Her parents, Suhani and Manish Agarwal were acknowledged for their support in nurturing her creativity. The launch was conducted by Babita Paul, Advocate, Gauhati High Court.

The event emerged not just as a book launch but as a celebration of imagination, promise and the boundless potential of young literary talent.
