GUWAHATI, Feb 14: A five-day Workshop-cum-Capacity Building Programme on “e-Content Development for Teachers and Teacher Educators of North Eastern States of India” concluded on Friday at Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU), Guwahati. Organised by CIET-NCERT, New Delhi in collaboration with KKHSOU, the programme ran from February 11 to 14, 2026.
The workshop aimed to enhance digital teaching competencies of educators from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, and Nagaland, focusing on digital pedagogy, instructional design and technology-enabled teaching strategies. Participants were trained in creating accessible and engaging e-learning resources for national platforms such as DIKSHA and PM e-Vidya.
The programme saw participation from 49 school educators representing DIETs, state government schools, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas and Kendriya Vidyalayas. Technical sessions were led by eight resource persons from CIET-NCERT under Prof Rajendar Pal, covering e-content development, scripting, audio and video production, mobile-based content creation and hands-on video recording and editing using tools like CapCut, InShot and VN Video Editor.
The valedictory session was chaired by Prof Rajendra Prasad Das, Vice Chancellor, KKHSOU, who encouraged participants to apply the skills acquired to strengthen technology-integrated education in the North Eastern region. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Indrani Kalita, Joint Coordinator of the workshop.
