KCS reviews Karbi Youth Festival

DIPHU, May 23: Karbi Cultural Society (KCS) held its central extended meeting at the Rangsina Sarpo Auditorium in Taralangso on Saturday.

The high-level meeting was chaired by KCS president Humsing Bey and witnessed participation from representatives of all KCS zonal committees.

During the meeting, members reviewed the successful conduct of the recently concluded 52nd Karbi Youth Festival 2026 and discussed various organisational and logistical aspects related to the event.

The house also held detailed deliberations on preparations, coordination and organisational matters concerning the upcoming 34th Zonal Karbi Youth Festival 2026.

Apart from festival-related discussions, several issues concerning the internal growth, administrative functioning and future roadmap of the Society were also discussed at length during the session.

The meeting concluded with what organisers described as constructive discussions and a collective understanding among the leaders and representatives present. Participants reaffirmed their commitment towards strengthening the organisational structure of the Society and preserving the cultural heritage, traditions and identity of the Karbi community.
