The village headman Teron said, “Kamal Timung has filled up earth in his compound which is very close to Longrunglangso and is inviting floods in the summer. The villagers have requested Timung to stop filling the earth so close to the river as it is narrowing the free flow of water which will invite floods in summer.”

The narrowing of the river course has already eroded the river embankment near the main road. As Timung has not paid heed to the request of the villagers, they have to approach the chairman of Diphu Municipal Board to take up the matter as it is a concern for the whole village.
