Around 7,000 delegates from different districts of BTR to take part in delegate meeting: Party officials

KOKRAJHAR, Nov 1: The reception committee office of the 3rd Triennial Conference of United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) party was inaugurated on Tuesday at Chandrapara playground in Kokrajhar district.
Notably, the conference will be held on November 11, 12 and 13.
Working president of UPPL and Rajya Sabha MP, Rwngwra Narzary inaugurated the reception committee office in the presence of senior party leaders, MLAs, BTR executive members including reception committee chairman and MLA Lawrence Islary and chief convenor and BTR MCLA, Madhab Chetry.
The party has been emphasising for deep discussion on the party’s strategy to build up the party affairs and developmental aspects across the region.
According to party sources, nearly 7000 delegates from different districts of Bodoland Territorial Region will be participating in the delegate meeting.
A grand cultural showcase and rally will also be carried out representing different castes, creeds and communities across the BTR districts.
Several competition programmes like games & sports, literary, marathon race, exhibitions will also be organised.
The reception committee members, office bearers and party members are seen busy working dedicatedly to bring a successful conduct of the conference beginning from opening to closing ceremonies.
Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will be attending as chief guest on the open session of the concluding day of the conference on November 13.
Assam state BJP president Bhabesh Kalita, Asom Gana Parishad president and Assam cabinet minister Atul Bora will attend as special guests in the event.
Narzary said that the UPPL party is holding its triennial conference with colourful programmes scheduled in Kokrajhar and subsequently, on Tuesday, inaugurated the reception committee office.
He informed that necessary preparation and arrangements for holding the conference is underway.
He said that the UPPL party has been working dedicatedly towards a healthy welfare and development among the citizens since its inception.
Chairman of the reception committee and MLA, Lawrence Islary said that the conference will be meaningful and attractive as the party has been stepping to organise the event enthusiastically. He has appealed to all sections of the society to extend support and cooperation towards the success of the event.
