Three persons arrested with drugs and illegal arms at Nagaon

NAGAON, Nov 30: Nagaon Morikolong outpost police led by SI Junmoni Rabha carried out a sudden raid at the house of Akramul Haque at Nagaon Mohkhuli Hulapar area on Tuesday night, after getting a secret tip off.

During the raid, police seized one 7.65 mm pistol, three rounds of live bullets, one soap box full of suspected heroin and huge numbers of empty vials from the house, sources claimed.

Police immediately arrested three persons including two women identified as Akramul Haque, his wife Rubina Begum and Farida Begum and brought them to Nagaon PS for further legal proceedings, sources said. The sources also added that all the arrested persons were interrogated for a long time at Nagaon PS, for finding more information or link to the illegal trading of drugs and arms.
