JORHAT, April 18: A woman of Kesaikhati village of Titabar Civil Sub-division of Jorhat district died when her kaccha house collapsed reportedly due to a severe hailstorm passing over the area late on Sunday night.
A DDMA official said that the woman was identified as Maikon Mura (aged about 62 years). The official said that altogether 324 houses (Mostly kaccha) were partially damaged and some badly damaged in the storm under Titabar Revenue Circle. The official added that few electricity posts too were hit by the storm.
