SEBA Calls Off HSLC Science Exam After Question Paper Leak

The Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) has not yet declared the fresh dates for the HSLC examination for the science subject.

GUWHATI, March 13: The Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) has decided to cancel the General Science exam after the question paper reportedly got leaked on social media on Sunday. The board has not yet declared the fresh dates for the HSLC examination for the science subject.

Meanwhile, the Education Minister of Assam Ranoj tweeted that the General Science examination of the currently conducted HSLC examination which was scheduled on March 13 has now been cancelled by SEBA considering the leakage of the question paper circulating on social media. The next date will be declared in the course of time.

Director General of Police, Assam GP Singh took to his Twitter handle and informed that a criminal case has now been filed for an investigation into the matter by CID Assam. Singh further affirmed that the police would “bring the culprits and conspirators to law”.

Assam’s Education Minister Ranoj Pegu today later on his Twitter handle pleaded to the concerned HSLC candidates to not panic or feel demoralized over the scrapping of today’s Science exam as SEBA will be announcing a fresh date on the very same day.

Earlier, the English subject for Assam HSLC Exam 2023 was cancelled. According to the notice issued by SEBA, the English exam has been cancelled in one of the centres in the state’s Cachar district.
