SIVASAGAR, March 14: As it is a ritual in the Assamese marriage ceremony, the bride or the groom is lifted on the shoulder to take inside home after his or her ceremonial bath on a baie (temporary bamboo structure) by a healthy person, Mintu Bora, did exactly that and lifted his cousin brother, the groom, and took him to his room. But minutes later he complained of acute chest pain and died of a massive cardiac arrest plunging the marry marriage ceremony in Garkasaria, Magarahat near Sivasagar on Saturday.
