KOKRAJHAR, March 17: The third triennial convention of Parbatjhora district committee of United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) concluded on Friday which was held at Debitola Community Hall.
Chief executive member (CEM) of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and UPPL president, Pramod Boro graced the occasion as chief guest on the open session of the convention.
In his speech, Boro said that the UPPL led UPPL-BJP-GSP alliance government in BTR is working dedicatedly for all round development of the region. He has opined that the BTR government is committed to work for the welfare and development of the citizens and accordingly stepping up for bringing healthy development and integration among all sections of the society.
He has highlighted about various developmental activities of BTR government which are meant for public welfare and development across the BTR region which included CEM’s super 50 mission for UPSC coaching, Bodoland Super 50 Mission, Bodoland Pig Mission etc.
He has announced that the BTR government has earmarked Rs.10 crore as special development package for Parbatjhora area under 2023-24 financial year to focus more ushering of sustainable developmental aspects in the area.
He has emphasised that the Parbatjhora area of Kokrajhar district must be highlighted eyeing welfare and developmental spheres.
BTR executive members, Dr Nilut Swargiary, Wilson Hasda, Rakesh Brahma, BTR MCLA Madhab Chetry, UPPL vice president Afjal Haque Sarkar, media cell chairman Zamser Ali, convenor Hantigiri Narzary, general secretary of UPPL women’s wing, Murshida Begum were prominent attendees in the programme.
Earlier in the morning, president of Parbatjhora district committee of UPPL, Prasen Kumar Brahma hoisted party flag followed by homage to martyrs.
