BOKAJAN: Police in Karbi Anglong recovered heroin in the afternoon. Acting on a tip-off, the police at Dillai in Karbi Anglong under Dillai Police Station intercepted a van bearing registration no AS 09 C 9521, around 2 pm. On thoroughly checking the van, 10 soap cases filled with heroin were recovered. The contraband was hidden in a bag of vegetables. The heroin weighs 122.14 grams. In this connection, one Anim Saha (24) of Jogendra Nagar, Agartala, Tripura, was arrested. The contraband is worth Rs 10 lakh in the market, and the seizure was made under the supervision of SDPO, John Das of Bokajan Sub-Division.
