ITANAGAR, June 21: A delegation from the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC), led by its Chairman W Hone and accompanied by the Controller of Examination and Under Secretary, is on a two-day visit to the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) to study the best practices adopted by the Commission in recruitment examinations and administrative functioning.
According to a public statement issued by APPSC, the delegation was warmly received by APPSC Chairman Prof (Dr) Pradip Lingfa, Members, Secretary Parul Gaur Mittal, IRS, and senior officials of the Commission.
During the interaction, Prof Lingfa highlighted the various reform measures and innovative ideas introduced by the Commission to enhance transparency, efficiency, and credibility in its functioning.
He also emphasized APPSC’s commitment to upholding the integrity of the recruitment process.
Secretary Parul Gaur Mittal elaborated on the Commission’s processes, including examination reforms, adoption of digital technologies, grievance redressal mechanisms, and other efficiency-driven initiatives.
She underscored efforts such as digitisation, improved transparency protocols, and inclusive measures like PwD-friendly examination halls.
The NPSC team appreciated APPSC’s initiatives, particularly the answer key challenge mechanism, anonymous candidate coding during viva-voce to ensure fairness, appointment of senior government officers as observers and coordinators, and the overall integrity of its examination systems.
The visiting team also acknowledged APPSC’s efforts in staff capacity building and its holistic approach to examination management.
Both Commissions engaged in a constructive dialogue aimed at strengthening inter-commission collaboration, sharing institutional knowledge, and improving public service delivery.
The visit underscores the growing reputation of APPSC for its innovative and transparent practices and marks a significant step toward collaborative governance and administrative excellence among State Public Service Commissions.
