The session aimed at preparing election personnel for the smooth, fair and transparent conduct of polling for the election of Councillors to the Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC).

Municipal Returning Officer Tatling Pertin, addressing the trainees, urged them to familiarise themselves thoroughly with all operational procedures to be followed on polling day.

He emphasised that the officers form a crucial part of the election machinery and are entrusted by the State Election Commission (SEC) of Arunachal Pradesh under the provisions of the Arunachal Pradesh Municipal Election Act, 2009.

Pertin reminded them that their designated responsibilities must be discharged with diligence, impartiality and sincerity to uphold the integrity of the electoral process.
