GOSSAIGAON, Dec 15: The 31st Battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) stationed at Telipara in Gossaigaon on Saturday ceremonially concluded 15 days of vocational training on the electrician course at the unit premises.
The 15-day-long vocational training on the electrician course was attended by 13 male youths from the bordering areas under the 31st Bn SSB Gossaigaon. The 31st Bn SSB Gossaigaon took the initiative to empower the livelihoods of unemployed youths by providing them with valuable skills.
The event was attended by LN Singh, deputy commandant, who commended the trainees for their dedication and hard work throughout the training program. In his address, he emphasised the importance of such vocational initiatives in promoting self-reliance and economic independence among border area communities.
Dilip Kumar Sarkar, deputy commandant, was also present during the closing ceremony. He appreciated the efforts of the trainers and the support staff who made this program a success. He reiterated the commitment of the 31 Bn SSB Gossaigaon to continue organising such empowering initiatives in the future for the benefit of unemployed youths.
