MARGHERITA, May 8: A terrible road accident took place on Monday afternoon at NH-315 of Margherita near Margherita bridge.
According to eyewitnesses, a speeding dumper vehicle first hit a cycle rider and then hit a eco van vehicle.
The driver of the eco van as well as the cycle rider were also seriously injured in the accident.

Both the injured were taken to Margherita Civil Hospital for treatment.
After the incident, the driver of the dumper vehicle fled from the spot.
The dumper vehicle’s registration no is AS-23 CC 2656 and the eco van’s registration no is AS 23AE 7647.
The eco van driver, Sanjib Gogoi and his wife as well as the cycle rider, Ram Gorh were seriously injured during the time of accident.
Meanwhile, Margherita police reached the spot and further investigation is going on.
