Accidental shot kills constable in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH, Jan 5: A police constable lost his life after being accidentally shot with his service AK-74 rifle in Dibrugarh on Sunday.

The deceased police constable has been identified as- Madhab Chutia.

According to reports, the constable was serving as the PSO to the additional superintendent of police.

While cleaning his service weapon, he accidentally pulled the trigger, and the bullet pierced his chest before hitting the television in his house. He was immediately rushed to AMCH (Assam Medical College and Hospital), but he succumbed to his injuries.
