ALMDB distributes four ambulances to social organisations

HOJAI, Nov 15: The Assam Linguistic Minority Development Board (ALMDB), government of Assam, provided four ambulances to different social organisations of Assam at Nehru Stadium in Guwahati on Thursday. Two units of Purvottar Pradeshiya Marwari Yuva Manch, namely Hojai and Mankachar, received one ambulance each, while one ambulance each was provided to Bharat Seva Ashram Sangh, Hojai, and Rajyog Education and Research Foundation, Hojai.

Notably, an ambulance distribution ceremony was organised, where Shiladitya Dev, chairman of the Assam Linguistic Minority Development Board, handed over the keys to the representatives of these NGOs. Talking to our correspondent, Shiladitya Dev apprised everyone of the developmental works undertaken by the ALMDB under his leadership. He said that under the leadership of chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam is witnessing massive development. He further appealed to the social organisations to properly maintain the ambulances and carry forward their social endeavours. 

Pankaj Jalan, provincial president of PPMYM, thanked the state government and ALMDB for providing the ambulances. He said that since its inception, social service has been the first and foremost priority of Purvottar Pradeshiya Marwari Yuva Manch.
