Alumni meet on Jan 31 in Guwahati

GUWAHATI, Jan 24: The Vidya Bharati Purvottar Khetra Alumni Association is set to organise a grand alumni meet on January 31. The event will witness the participation of over 5,000 alumni from Shankar Dev Shishu/Vidya Niketans under the Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam, affiliated with Vidya Bharati’s Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan. These alumni, who have studied at these institutions since 1979, will showcase performances like yoga and Surya Namaskar.

The event will commence at 10 am and feature Arunachal Pradesh education minister P D Sona as the chief guest, along with Krishna Gopal Sharma, joint general secretary of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, and Nani Gopal Mahanta, vice-chancellor of Gauhati University.

Over 5,000 alumni are being invited to participate in this significant gathering. According to Mukuteshwar Goswami, the Prachar Pramukh of Shishu Shiksha Samiti, Assam, preparations at the Sarusajai Stadium have already been completed.

In alignment with the Samutkarsh Mahashibir, Vidya Bharati Alumni Association coordinators Swarna Devi Sharma, Gaurav Kalita, and Jyotirmoy Roy have also called upon alumni residing in distant locations to attend and make the event successful.
