Annual prize distribution ceremony of Chabilal Upadhyay MES

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Dec 27: The 37th annual prize distribution ceremony of Chabilal Upadhyay ME School, Amdara was held with Gopal Chandra Chetry, president of the School Management Committee in the chair on Tuesday.
The open session began with a chorus performed by the students followed by a welcome address forwarded by Subhash Goutam, headmaster of the school.
Earlier, Jatin KC offered ‘smriti tarpan’. Lahari Bora, retired teacher of North Jamuguri Girls’ High School graced the occasion as an appointed speaker who appealed to the students’ community to read seriously for academic excellence beside other co-curricular activities.
Anjan Baskota, recipient of Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar graced the annual day as a distinguished guest who in his address appealed to the student’s fraternity to engross in regular studies beside carrying out other literary and cultural activities equally.
The open session was also addressed by Ganga Devi, panchayat president of Dakshin Chilabandha GP. Apsana Khatun, general secretary of the students’ union read out the proceedings. Chairman of the students’ union Punya Bora addressed the open session. Chandan Acharya, assistant teacher of the school offered vote of thanks while Jitu Kumar Nath conducted the proceedings.
The open session was attended by Nirmali Das, AP member of Dakhin Chilabandha Anchalik Panchayat, CRCC Mohan Koirala besides other dignitaries.
