Aoikya observes 31st birth anniversary

SIVASAGAR, April 12: ‘Aoikya’, the premier Socio-cultural organisation of Sivasagar observed its 31st anniversary on Saturday with day long programme. The participant children of the Aoikya Bihu dance workshop were given away certificates while the members rejoiced cutting a big cake on the occasion in their presence.

The day is incidentally the birthday of the founder of Aoikya Dhananjay Saikia. The Dhol , Pempa and Bihu  Dance exponents were felicitated by the committee .The children performed Bihu dance in the  presence of guests Dr Saimarjyoti Mahanta, Jyati Dutta, Diganta Chetia,Babli Khan, Dhananjy Saikia,DTO, Jorhat, Pabitra Dutta, Raju Das and Manoj Kumar Borthakur, president,Aoikya Bihu Committee.
