Appointment letters distributed to teachers, tutors in Bodoland Territorial Region

KOKRAJHAR, April 1: Altogether 83 teachers and tutors engaged by the then Bodoland Autonomous Council (BAC) in 1991 received their appointment letters from the Education department in a function held in the conference hall of the IT Park, Chandrapara in Kokrajhar on Friday.

On the occasion, Bodoland Territorial Region (BTC) executive member (EM) for Public Health Engineering and Information and Public Relations department, Dr Nilut Swargiary, who attended as the chief guest distributed the appointment letters to the teachers and tutors in the presence of director, Education department of BTC, Jagadish Prasad Brahma and other dignitaries.

In his speech, Dr Swargiary called upon all the teachers and tutors who received appointment letters to extend their gratitude to Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) chief executive member Pramod Boro, the key person, by whose concern they had been able to receive the appointment letters after many years. He urged them to focus now on their duties as one of the regular teachers in order to provide quality education to students for the development of the region.

He also informed about various measures taken by the present BTR government to improve the quality of education in the region, including launching of Super-50 BTR, a flagship programme for transforming the lives of engineering aspirants of BTR.

“We will need to transform our education system to meet the aspirational needs of the new generation and for this purpose, our BTR government under the chairmanship of Pramod Boro, chief executive member of Bodoland Territorial Region has given maximum importance in the education sector”, he added.

Appointment letters to 20 teachers and 63 tutors of Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri districts were distributed during the programme.
