Security activities were intensified in Tinsukia following a grenade explosion near an army camp in Dirak on November 22, for which ULFA-I claimed responsibility. The group also admitted to two more grenade attacks near security installations in Sivasagar and Jorhat. Earlier, an individual was arrested in connection to the Tinsukia explosion.
