Assam: Assaulted by police, youth commits suicide on Vijayadhashami in Golaghat, shares video

Golaghat, Oct 25: A pall of gloom descended over Dergaon’s Dolormukh village in Golaghat after a young man, identified as Ajay Dutta, allegedly committed suicide on the night of Vijaya Dashami celebrations on Tuesday.

The family of the deceased lodged a police complaint, alleging that Ajay was assaulted by a truck driver and a traffic constable during a verbal dispute, which led him to take his own life.
