Guwahati, Nov 18: The Health & Family Welfare Department of Assam is set to organise the Swasthya Sewa Utsav -2 from November 20 to 22, following the successful completion of the first edition in April this year.
The event, envisioned by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, aims to provide quality healthcare services across the state through 1,261 Government Health Institutions. The institutions will be evaluated based on their infrastructure, human resources, and service delivery, with both internal and external assessments.
The external evaluation team will include a Member of Parliament, Member of Legislative Assembly, IAS Officers, IPS Officers, ACS Officers, Faculties, Doctors, and Post Graduate students of Medical Colleges.
A pre-defined checklist will be used to assess each health institution over the course of the three-day event. A total of 430 teams will be involved in the assessment process.
